The Fiji Football Association will soon decide whether former Lautoka soccer President and lawyer, Iqbal Khan can contest for Fiji FA's Vice President's election this Wednesday.

Fiji FA CEO, Bob Kumar confirmed that they are seeking legal opinion on the issue as Navua soccer association first nominated Jitendra Kumar's name for the election but are now seeking approval to withdraw their nomination.

Navua soccer has now nominated Iqbal Khan's name for the Western division's Vice President's post.

Kumar said they expect to make a decision soon.

Iqbal Khan had told Fijivillage last week that he has received confirmation from many districts that Fiji FA board members allegedly visited the district executives and asked them to nominate the current Vice Presidents for the elections.

Khan said this resulted in other candidates not getting a chance to be nominated as a district can only nominate one candidate for each division.

He said other aspiring candidates were being sidelined.

Meanwhile, super premier matches of the Courts IDC starts 2.15pm this Thursday at Churchill with the Suva - Nadroga match.
