Tongan police have charged and presented two Fiji citizens in the Tonga Magistrate's Court, for illegally possessing and processing counterfeit notes worth 600 Pa'anga which is equivalent to more than 600 Fijian dollars and is believed to be the largest amount of fraudulent notes circulating in Tonga.

PACNEWS reports that the two Fiji citizens were arrested after a seller at a market contacted police about the fake money, on Saturday.

The Assistant Police Commissioner Unga Fa'aoa told Radio Tonga News that police arrested the pair and seized a colour photocopier which was allegedly used to make of the notes.
