The Fiji Bus Industry has decided to comply with the Wage Rate Order.
Fiji Bus Operators Association General Secretary Rohit Latchan said that they have met and decided that all the members will apply the wage rate when paying their employees.
He said it does not a matter whether anyone likes it or not, it’s a decision implemented by the government and all the members have agreed to follow it.
Meanwhile, as the new wage rate for people working in the printing industry goes up by 50 cents an hour today, a small player in the industry feels they will not be able to cope up with it.
Owner of Print Centre Limited Rajen Singh said they will have to reduce the working hours of some employees.
