The Fiji Bus Operators Association has raised concern on the recent increase in fuel prices.

President Virendra Kewal said the fuel price increase will have a serious impact on the bus industry as the cost will increase substantially.

He said the bus operators will be addressing this issue with the Land Transport Authority and the Ministry of Transport.

Kewal said at this stage they are not looking at a bus fare increase as they need to discuss on how best it can be addressed.

He added that they have yet to arrange a meeting with the Ministry of Transport and LTA.
