The Digicel Fiji 7s team started their defense of the Adelaide 7s on a high note with a 31-12 win against England.

Fiji started well with a try to Setefano Cakau before England replied with a converted try.

Timoci Matanavou increased Fiji's lead to 12-7 with a try at halftime.

In the second half, William Ryder scored his class with a try for Fiji to lead 19-7

England scored their second try with just 2 minutes for the score to read 19-12.

Setefano Cakau scored his second try to put the game out of the reach of the English and increase Fiji's lead to 26-12.

Fiji's second game is against France at 3.45pm.
