The Vodafone Fiji Bati players will share the prize money of $300,000 for reaching the semifinals of the Rugby League World Cup last night.

This was confirmed by Coach Joe Rabele. He said the cash will go to the players rather than being invested in the game back home.

Rabele said there is no money in Fiji Rugby League and 90 percent of the players in the squad are NRL based playing overseas and they earn more than what they have been offered.

He said its better that all the money is shared amongst the players.

Meanwhile, Captain Wes Naiqama, who plays for New Castle Knights in Australia, said his team was not interested in money. He said money was never an issue and they all play the game because they are passionate about the game.
