Fiji Airways will be the official airline of the HSBC World Rugby Singapore 7s this year.
A partnership between Fiji Airways and Rugby Singapore will see the national airline associated with the event for three years.
Fiji Airways embarks on its maiden flight to Singapore on April 5th.
Over 200 fans from Fiji have already booked their direct flights to Singapore.
Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen says they are the world’s most passionate airline when it comes to 7s rugby and they are delighted to be the official airline of the Singapore 7s.
Speaking in Singapore, Attorney‑General and Minister for Civil Aviation Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum says that they are expecting 500 to 1000 Fijians to watch the tournament in Singapore.
He says this sponsorship is only the beginning of what will be a long and fruitful partnership
The partnership also includes technical support for the event and the sharing of coaching expertise.
