Fiji 7s works on set pieces
Coach Iliesa Tanivula opted to play against the Flyers which is made up of Fijian boys, to test most of his new players who are travelling for the first time to the IRB 7s series.
Tanivula said from past experience the areas which has always come back to haunt them is their defence and kick-offs where they have failed to dominate their opponents.
Also New Zealand 7s coach Gordon Tietjens has opted for his side to go in as one of the underdogs in the tournament.
Tietjens said it is always difficult to win at home although they have experienced players like DJ Forbes, Tomasi Cama Junior and Lote Raikabula in their line-up.
Fiji will meet France on Friday at 1.44pm then Canada at 4.40pm before the final pool game against South Africa at 9.12pm.
