The Fiji 7s Women’s rugby team knows the importance of winning the gold medal in the Pacific Games to their sports.

Manager Vela Naucukidi said that their long term goal is to play in the Olympic Games in 2016 but they need to show in this outing that they can play against the best in the sports.

She added that 5 of the girls from the current 12 member team will be playing in their first ever Games but although their last overseas trip was 2 years ago they confident of doing well.

The Pacific Games starts on the 27th of this month.
