The Digicel Fiji 7s team has just won the Plate final of the South Africa 7s after beating France 45-19.

Fiji led 19-12 at halftime with tries from Osea Kolinisau, Donasio Ratubuli and Samisoni Viriviri.

The national side started the 2nd half strongly with Ratubuli grabbing his second try to increase Fiji’s lead to 26-12.

Poor tackling from Fiji saw France score a converted try to close the gap.

But two tries from Benito Masilevu and one from Waisea Nacuqu put the game out of reach for France as Fiji won 45-19.

Fiji earlier lost to Samoa 28-12 in the Cup semifinal but hammered Kenya 52-5 in the plate semifinal.

Looking at other winners, Scotland beat Canada 19-12 to win the Shield final, England won the Bowl beating Australia 28-19 while Samoa finished third beating Argentina 21-7.

In the Cup final, South Africa beat New Zealand 17-14.
