Fiji 7s through to the quarter finals
Seremaia Burotu got his hat trick in the match after he scored three tries for Fiji.
Burotu got the opening try after Fiji applied pressure in the early stages of the match.
Canada looked sharp and kept the Fijians at bay for most of the time in the first half.
But, Joeli Lutumailagi got the second try just before half time and gave the Fijians the much needed confidence.
Burotu showed class when the second half started and crossed the try line again to register Fiji's third try.
Mitieli Nacagilevu and Nemani Nagusa also got a try each for Fiji after they ran through the Canadians in the last two minutes.
Earlier today Fiji started its campaign after beating France by 42-0 in the first match.
Captain, Emosi Vucago opened the score sheet for Fiji after he danced through the French defense in the first minute.
Mitieli Nacagilevu beat four French players to get the second try for Fiji while Joeli Lutumailagi got the third try for Fiji just before half time.
Watisoni Votu got two tries while Ilai Tinai crossed over the try line once in the second half to give Fiji a comfortable 42-0 win.
Fiji's attack and defence has improved dramatically however winning the kick offs is still an issue.
Fiji Rugby Union's Development Manager and Former 7s Manager, Sale Sorovaki said the team is playing well however they need to work on winning the kick offs.
Sorovaki also said it is pleasing to see many game breakers in the team with players breaking the defence line from anywhere in the field.
He said this is truly Fijian play at its best.
Fiji will now take on South Africa in it's last pool match at 9.12pm.
Meanwhile, Samoa edged Kenya 24-21 in a close contest in the first match, Australia thrashed Tonga 47-7, South Africa beat Canada 31-5, England beat USA 31-12, New Zealand beat Scotland 29-12, Wales beat Cook Islands 31-12 and Argentina beat Papua New Guinea 14-10, Australia beat Kenya 21-19 and Samoa beat Tonga 19-0.
