Fiji 7's team’s quest to defend the gold medal in Samoa for the third consecutive year begins tomorrow.
Speaking to Village sports, organizing committee member Taufusi Salesa said that Fiji and Samoa should not underestimate other teams in the competition.
Fiji play their first game against Vanuatu at 10:44am, their second game at 1:06pm would be against Tahiti, followed by their match against Tuvalu at 3:28pm and their last pool game is against PNG at 5:10pm Fiji Time.
Team Fiji has bagged another medal, with the men's squash team winning a silver medal in the last hour.
Earlier on, Fiji Lawn Bowls team won 2 silver and 1 bronze medals in day five of competition in Samoa.
The men's pair’s team defeated Cook Islands 29-16 to win the silver while the men's triples team defeated Norfolk Island 22-7.
In the women's division Fiji triples team defeated Samoa 25-9 and settled for the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Fiji is currently in fourth position in the overall medal tally on 12 gold, 18 silver and 22 bronze.
