Fiji 7s team’s back-to-back World 7s series title win to be celebrated this Wednesday

A celebration for the Vodafone Fiji 7s team’s back-to-back HSBC World 7s series title win will be held this Wednesday at Ratu Sukuna Park in Suva.

It is organised by the team’s major sponsor, Vodafone Fiji.

The celebration will start at 3pm Wednesday.

Organisers have confirmed that the public will have the opportunity to get autographs and photos taken with the team.

The Fiji 7s team is also expected to get a total bonus payment of $75,000 from their sponsors.

They are expected to receive $50,000 for winning the HSBC World 7s series.

$15,000 will be paid out to the team for being runners-up in the Paris 7s and they will receive $10,000 for reaching the Cup semifinal in London.

Fiji retained the 2015/2016 World Sevens Series title with 181 points.

South Africa finished second with 171 points, New Zealand settled in third place with 158 points while Australia finished in fourth place with 134 points.
