The Digicel Fiji 7s team will need to be cautious of Scotland and Australia in its pool matches in the New Zealand 7s as they have already beaten Fiji last year.

Scotland beat Fiji at the South Africa 7s 21-19 while Australia edged Fiji 15-14 at the Gold Coast sevens.

These losses were in the pool matches.

Australia 7s coach, Michael O’Connor said meeting Fiji again in the pool stages is nothing different.

Barring any upset Fiji is expected to meet either the All Blacks 7s or England in the cup quarterfinal.

The New Zealand Sevens kick off in Wellington next Friday with Fiji taking on Scotland at 1.50pm in its first pool match.

Fiji then takes on Australia at 4.46pm and the last pool match is against Portugal at 8.34pm.
