The Fiji 7's team is top seed in Pool A of the Pacific Games rugby 7s competition where they will defend the gold medal.

The Dale Tonawai captain side leads Pool A which includes Tokelau, Tahiti and Wallis Futuna.

Fiji's opening pool game is against Wallis Futuna on the 31st of this month and face Tahiti and Tokelau on September 1st.

The final is on the 2nd of September.

Samoa leads Pool B with Solomon, Vanuatu and American Samoa while Papua New Guinea head Pool C which includes Niue, New Caledonia and Tuvalu.

The Pacific Games in Noumea will start next Saturday.
