The Digicel Fiji 7s will take part in the Marist 7s in Samoa next weekend with many new faces in the team.

Manager, Sale Sorovaki has confirmed that the team has been invited by the Marist Club in Samoa as the guest team for the two day tournament.

Sorovaki added that they will use this competition to test the new players who will then play in the FORU tournament the following weekend.

Only Setefano Cakau and Watisoni Votu are the old members of the team which has players like Livai Ikanikoda, Lepani Botea, James Brown, Aporosa Tabulawaki, Joji Rigamate and U20 rep, Semi Ratudradra in the lineup.

Players like, Nikola Matawalu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Miti Nacagilevu, Emosi Vucago and Leone Nakarawa are tied up with the Sukuna Bowl preparations which will take place on the 11th of next month.

The opening leg of the IRB 7s will kick-off in Gold Coast, Australia on the 25th and 26th of next month.

Sorovaki and coach, Josateki Savou will travel with the team to Samoa.
