Giving back to where you started your rugby career is the new approach being taken by the Fiji 7s team management team as they prepare for the first leg of the IRB World 7s series in Dubai and South Africa.
Manager Sale Sorovaki who revealed yesterday that the Fiji 7s team will no longer take part in any local tournaments, said it is now the aim for the players to return to their clubs with the international experience.
Sorovaki added past teams have used local tournaments to build on their combination but the overall results from the IRB 7s proves that it is not working.
The Fiji 7s team will now only use the Sri Lanka 7s on the 28th and 29th of next month as their last build up to the Dubai 7s on the 4th and 5th of December.
