As the nation prepares to celebrate its 44th Independence Day, Vodafone Fiji 7s Coach Ben Ryan said they will give their best shot this weekend for the memorable occasion.

Speaking from Gold Coast, Ryan said the team will not be affected by the loss of Emosi Mulevoro and Eminoni Nasilasila but are expecting a tough tournament especially in the pool games.

Meanwhile the IRB has listed Setefano Cakau and Captain Osea Kolinisau as the players to watch in this Olympic qualification season.

Former captain Cakau comes back into the side having missed majority of the 2013/2014 season.

Although Cakau is 36 years old, Ryan believes that Cakau can still mix it with the best this weekend.

Fiji will take on Scotland in their first match at 2.02pm Saturday. We will then face Portugal at 5.23pm before taking on Australia at 9.01pm Saturday.

The quarterfinals will be at 12.48pm Sunday, the semifinals will kick off at 4.53pm while the final will be held at 7.49pm.
