The improvements shown by the Vodafone Fiji 7s players in the last leg of the World Sevens Series will give a selection head ache for Coach Ben Ryan when the team will be announced tomorrow.
Warden’s playmaker Kitione Taliga and Westfield Babas prop Masivesi Dakuwaqa are expected to be named after their strong performance in Las Vegas and Vancouver while lanky forward Jasa Veremalua continues to show his class.
Coach Ben Ryan says that the overseas based player that will be selected will join the team from Hong Kong.
World Sevens Series top points scorer Vatemo Ravouvou is expected to be fit again which gives a lot of options for Ryan in the backline.
Isake Katonibau is also excited to get back to his full potential after a niggling injury in the last leg.
Some other players who are highly likely to make the final squad are Captain Osea Kolinisau, Jerry Tuwai, Pio Tuwai, top try scorer Savenaca Rawaca.
The 14 member squad will be announced tomorrow at the Uprising Beach Resort.
Fiji is the defending champion of the Hong Kong 7s.
Fiji is pooled with Canada, Wales and Korea in Pool D of the Hong Kong 7s which will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
