Fiji 7s team to be named this weekend
Assistant coach, Etuate Waqa has confirmed they have to wait for today’s fitness test in Sigatoka before they will name the 16 players to march into camp.
Waqa added that it is important to profile their player’s strength and weakness to know where they stand this new season.
Meanwhile, 2 key members of the Digicel Fiji 7s team to the last leg of the IRB 7s series are likely to be ruled out of the NZ and USA 7s next month.
Young winger, Semi Radradra have opted to take up a contract with a rugby league club in the NRL competition in Australia while seasonal campaigner, Watisoni Votu is also planning to move across.
With these two players ruled out and members of the Fiji Military Forces not on the list for the NZ 7s, also with the injured trio yet to be medically cleared, the coaching staff will now have a lot more work to do.
The Fiji 7s team will take part in the Uprising Fiji International 7s on the 20th and 21st of this month.
