The Digicel Fiji 7's team has started its campaign at the New Zealand 7's tournament on a high after beating France by 42-0 in the first match.
Captain, Emosi Vucago opened the score sheet for Fiji after he danced through the French defense in the first minute.
Mitieli Nacagilevu beat four French players to get the second try for Fiji while Joeli Lutumailagi got the third try for Fiji just before half time.
Watisoni Votu got two tries in the second half to give Fiji a comfortable 42-0 win.
Fiji's back-line players also showed class in the opening match after they did not allow France to cross their try line.
Fiji's attack and defence has improved dramatically however winning the kick offs is still an issue.
Fiji will take on Canada at 4.40pm in the second pool match with a show down against South Africa at 9.12pm.
Meanwhile, Samoa edged Kenya 24-21 in a close contest in the first match and Australia thrashed Tonga 47-7.

It's kick off time and the Digicel Fiji 7's team said it knows the expectation from the rugby public ahead of their opening pool game against France at 1.44 this afternoon.
Captain Emosi Vucago has assured the nation that they have prepared well.
Vucago said the coaching staff has set the target for the remaining of the series but he said it has to start in the New Zealand 7's this afternoon.
His assistant Jerry Burotu believes the inclusion of his former mentor Josateki Savou to assist head coach Iliesa Tanivula is what the side needs, to become the first ever Fiji team to win the title back to back.
But for the host team, New Zealand playing, at home will always be tough and Captain DJ Forbes knows that pressure is on them to deliver the results.
The Fiji 7's team that will play France at 1.44pm will have Jerry Burotu, Watisoni Votu and Apisai Nayabo in the forwards.
Emosi Vucago will lead the back-line with Ilai Tinai at play-maker, Miti Nacagilevu at rover and Joeli Lutumailagi on the wing.
