“It’s the grandfather of all tournaments.”
These are the words of Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan ahead of the Hong Kong 7s which starts next week.
Ryan believes with the history of the Hong Kong 7s, any team winning the tournament will be boosted going into Singapore the following week.
Ever since the Hong Kong 7s started, Fiji has won most titles with 15.
They also departed for Hong Kong this morning without Pio Tuwai who could not board the plane as he had conjunctivitis.
Tuwai will travel to Hong Kong on Monday.
Fiji is pooled with Canada, Wales, and Korea in the Hong Kong 7s which will be held from next Friday to Sunday.
