The Digicel Fiji 7's team will still have an edge against most of the teams in this weekend's Dubai 7's.

Despite captain, Setefano Cakau and Jimilai Nakaidawa ruled out because of injury, replacements Pio Tuwai and Aminiasi Nava are experienced players who have also played in top 7's tournament abroad.

Tuwai was with Emosi Vucago and James Brown when they won the Hong Kong 7's in 2009 while Nava is a former player and regular member of the Army team in the local 7's tournament.

Both of the players left with head coach, Alifereti Dere today where they will link up with the team in Dubai.

Fiji will now prepare for the next leg in Dubai this weekend and they are in Pool A with Argentina, United Arab Emirates and Samoa.

Fiji's first game is against Argentina at 7:04pm on Friday.
