The Vodafone Fiji Sevens team has received a timely boost on their preparations towards the Las Vegas 7s this weekend.

This was after Southbay Davui, a group of former Fiji Citizens in the US raised funds from around the globe to purchase the Game Ready Recovery machines which provides active compression, cold therapies to reduce pain, swelling and stimulates natural healing.

The purpose of the machine is also to accelerate recovery time from injuries, games and travels.

Founders of the SouthBay Davui group Antoinette Sloan, Makare Wilson and Wise Katubadrau had a successful meeting yesterday with Coach Ben Ryan and team physical therapist William Koong to present the machine.

SouthBay Davui said so far they have raised enough money for what is needed this weekend including Game Ready Back Wrap, Hip Wrap and the Game Ready 3yr extended warranty.

With limited resources available to the national side, SouthBay Davui aims to provide them with the machine that has been used by professional teams all over the world.

The total cost of the Game Ready Machine is $15,000.

Meanwhile Fiji will face Samoa at 1.06pm and Wales at 4.02pm on Saturday.

They will then clash with rivals New Zealand at 9.05am Sunday.

The Cup quarterfinals will be at 1.14pm Sunday.

The Cup semis will kick off at 8.32am Monday while the final of the Las Vegas 7s will start at 11.25am Monday.
