Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber has taken full responsibility for the 28-15 loss against Wales yesterday but says the team is now fully focused on delivering a win against New Zealand this afternoon.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Sydney this morning, Baber says the team had discussions about the problems in the pool games and agreed to improve in the game against New Zealand.
Baber says he has spoken to the players about ensuring that they are carrying out their responsibilities on the field.
The Fiji 7s coach has been impressed with speedster Joeli Lutumailagi who has scored four tries in the tournament so far.
He says there is a lot of energy in the team camp because of the Fijian support at the Sydney 7s.
Baber is yet to reveal the starting team list for the quarterfinal clash against New Zealand but says the team that started against France had played really well.
Emosi Mulevoro has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury he suffered in their loss to Wales.
