The Digicel Fiji 7s team is seeded third for the England 7s tournament after the pools were announced by the IRB.

Iliesa Tanivula coached side will face South Africa, Canada and France in Pool C.

Fiji's toughest opponent could be South Africa although they have beaten them five times in this season's IRB World 7s Series.

Samoa is the top seed after their victory in USA and Hong Kong 7s tournaments.

They have been drawn in Pool A with Argentina, USA and Italy.

New Zealand tops Pool B with Kenya, Wales and Portugal while defending champions England joins Australia, Scotland and Russia in Pool D.

IRB 7s manager Beth Coalter said the scene is set for what promises to be a highly competitive tournament played in front of a record crowd in London.

With just two events left to be played it is anyone's guess as to who will be crowned champions with just six points separating Samoa and New Zealand at the top of the standings.

He said this has undoubtedly been the most competitive Series to date and the likes of USA, Australia, Kenya, South Africa, Fiji and of course Hosts England will be looking to record their first Series title of the year.

It will be two days of compelling action.

The England 7s tournament will be held from 22nd to 23rd May in Twickenham.
