Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has stated that teams cannot have a Christmas hangover as the starting leg for the 2015 World 7s Series in Wellington and Las Vegas will be vital.

In an interview with Ultimate sports Ryan said with competition getting tougher in the series, it is important for any team to have a good start next year and he is predicting that a  noticeable gap will begin to appear with whoever is in the top four after the first two tournaments.

Ryan confirmed that players securing contracts in Sri Lanka was not the reason of the teams dismal performance in Dubai and South Africa but he admitted that they made some errors on the field and the players have all put their hands up to that, and used them as a vital lesson.

Some of the areas that Ryan is expected to work on includes the fundamentals in skills under pressure as well as the fitness and tactical requirements a player will need.

Players that are expected to be retained for the next leg of the World 7s Series include Osea Kolinisau, Semi Kunatani, Apisai Domolailai, Savenaca Rawaca and Jerry Tuwai.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team is expected to march into camp again next week to prepare for the New Zealand 7s.
