The Vodafone Fiji 7s team wants put smiles on everyone’s faces as they head to the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s.
Coach Ben Ryan understands how hard it has been for Fijians who have gone through a horrific experience during severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.
Ryan says this experience will be on the players’ minds as they aim to defend the Las Vegas 7s title this weekend.
Fiji leads the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series after the first four tournaments.
Meanwhile other teams have sent in their messages of encouragement to the Fiji team.
They include South Africa, New Zealand, USA, England, France, Australia, Spain, Canada, Samoa and Kenya.
Ryan has named his 14‑men squad and will select his final 12 for the tournament before their first game in Las Vegas.
Josua Vici and Masivesi Dakuwaqa will be making their debut.
Ryan has already flown out to Las Vegas to attend a meeting and will meet up with the players.
The team will leave for Las Vegas tonight.
Fiji will take on Samoa at 1.19pm this Saturday in their first pool match.
They will take on France in their second pool match at 4.20pm Saturday.
Their last pool game will be against Argentina at 8.38am Sunday.
The Cup Quarterfinals will start at 1.31pm Sunday, the semifinals are at 8.50am Monday while the Cup Final will be at 11.57am next Monday.
