Fiji will try to maintain their good defensive record from the past two World 7s series tournaments to boost their chances of winning the Scotland 7s this weekend.

The national side is the best defensive team from the Hong Kong and Japan 7s tournaments according to a game analysis report released by the IRB.

Fiji conceded an average of one try per match in the last two tournaments.

Fiji’s most successful coach Ilivasi Tabua said the team has to be consistent.

The Scotland 7s tournament will kick off this Saturday with Fiji taking on Zimbabwe at 10.36pm.

Fiji then takes on Portugal at 1.42am Sunday and Argentina at 5.37am Sunday.
