Coach, Alifereti Dere said that his players executed the plan well.
Last year Fiji finished fifth on the overall standings but they took out the silver medal this morning after finishing second to New Zealand.
The National side defeated Samoa 38-15 in the England 7s final after thrashing New Zealand 31-7 in the semifinal and beating England 21-14 in the quarter finals.
Fiji last won the IRB World 7s series in 2006.
