The Fiji 7's team's preparation for the Rugby World Cup 7's in Moscow is expected to receive a major financial boost this week from the Fiji Sports Commission.
Commission Chairman, Peter Mazey said there are major sporting events coming up this year and they will ensure that proper assistance is provided.
Mazey confirmed that they have put aside over a quarter of a million dollars for the FRU as the Rugby World Cup is approaching.
Mazey also said that minor sports will not be left out in terms of assistance as last night he handed a $5,000 cheque to the Suva Bowling Club.
The 7's Rugby World Cup will be held in Russia from the 28th to the 30th of this month.
