The Digicel Fiji 7's team has started on a high note in the first leg of the IRB 7's series in Dubai thumping Scotland 47-12.

Captain Emosi Vucago led by example scoring 4 tries while William Ryder scored two tries and Niumaia Cakacaka also added his name to the try list.

Fiji started well with captain Vucago crossing the try line in the second minute, before Ryder showed his class and it was the captain again who scored in the stroke of half-time for Fiji to lead 19-5.

In the second half, rover Niumaia Cakacaka scored first before Ryder and Vucago helped Fiji to a 47-12 win.

Fiji's second pool game is against Zimbabwe at 9.56pm and then they will play Samoa at 3.30am tomorrow morning.
