The Digicel Fiji 7s team beat Wales 15-0 in their last pool match to book itself a quarterfinal berth in the Hong Kong 7s tournament.

Fiji convincingly came over  Zimbabwe by 42 points to 14.

Fiji led 28-0 at the half-time, as Lepani Nabuliwaqa scored two tries with other tries coming from William Ryder and Timoci Matanavou. Ryder converted all the tries in the first half.

Fiji again started the second half with confidence with Nasoni Roko and Viliame Maya scoring the tries. But still they will have to work on their defence as they allowed Zimbabwe score two tries. Final score: Fiji 42 - Zimbabwe 14.

Meanwhile Fiji and Wales will go head-to-head in the final deciding Group D match with winner qualifying for the Cup quarterfinals while the losing team will have to wait for the results of other games to see as they can go through as the best runner-up team. Wales also registered their second win beating the Korea side 34-5 this afternoon.

Speaking to Fijivillage sports, Fiji 7s coach Joe Savou said they are ready for the Wales clash.
