The Digicel Fiji 7s team will be out to break a 4 year losing drought when they play in the USA 7s this weekend.
Fiji last tasted a win in the US in 2007 when they beat Samoa 38-24 and since then have not been able to go past the semifinal stages.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula took the side in 2009 and 2010 and failed to do well, with his biggest challenge now to better the side’s performance from last week where they lost in the quarter final.
Tanivula said he knows the eyes of the rugby public will be him and the boys to deliver this weekend.
Fiji is Pool C in the USA 7s with Scotland, Canada and Australia.
They will play Canada at 7.52am in their opening pool game.
Barring any upsets, Samoa and South Africa are the likely opponents for the Fiji 7s team in the cup quarter final in Las Vegas.
