Digicel Fiji 7s coach Iliesa Tanivula has called on the support of the Fiji public for his young team that will be trying to defend the title in Edinburgh this weekend at the Scotland 7s.
Tanivula said they have heard of the negative feedbacks from people back home, and has asked for patience and support for this young team.
Meanwhile, New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens said that the champion of the 2009/10 IRB series will be determined after the Scotland 7s, and is thankful that there is still a chance for his side to win.
Samoa coach Stephen Betham said that as of now he does not want to think of winning the series, but has told his boys to work extra hard and show more commitment.
Fiji's opening pool match will be against Scotland on Saturday at 11:09pm.
Fiji then plays Wales early Sunday morning at 2:35am and their last pool match will be against USA at 5:17am.
