The Fiji 7s team returned home yesterday with prize money of $4,000 Australian, after winning the Fiji Day rugby 7s tournament in Brisbane over the weekend.

Waisale Serevi coached side defeated Uprising Beach Resort from Australia in the final by 29 points to nil.

Fiji which was led by Emosi Vucago played a total of six games in the tournament and Corinthians was the only team to score a try against them in the whole tournament.

Serevi said the most improved players in the tournament was Iveri Lavo of Navosa, while rest of the players also played a grand game.

Serevi was also happy with the defence and ball retention, which was seen as a weakness in the team in last season's IRB World 7s Series.
