Fifty farmers from the Lomaiviti group whose farms were affected by Cyclone Tomas are expected to be assisted from the $15,000 Vodafone Foundation Grant Red Alert.
According to the FCOSS Microfinance Unit spokesperson, Lavenia Baro these farmers had loaned from them and after the devastation, they were left with nothing.
