Diwali could soon become a major part of attracting tourists to our shores as stakeholders are now formulating plans to use the festival of lights.
Fiji Hotel and Resort Operators Association President Dixon Seeto said through the guidance of the Tourism Minister Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum, proactive steps are now being taken to advertise Diwali alongside Fiji's other main tourist attractions.
Meanwhile, Visitors to Fiji will get a special treat at hotels and resorts around the country this coming long weekend as they will get to experience a different side of Fiji's multi cultural society through the celebration of the festival of lights, Diwali.
A number of hotels and resorts Fijivillage spoke to confirmed that they will encourage their guests to dress up in Indian attire and learn about Diwali with firework displays also on the card.
