The Boxing Commission of Fiji has for the first time ever given a boxing license to a female promoter.
Rashmin Nisha has become the third promoter under the Boxing Commission of Fiji to stage fights in Fiji.
Nisha said interest in boxing motivated her to become a promoter.
Nisha said after staging few boxing programmes in Fiji, her main effort will be to encourage women to take up boxing in the country.
Nisha's programme will be known as Prasad's Main Event Boxing Promotions and she has already signed Joy Ali and Australia's Chris Stewart for her first programme on the 11th July.
