A 53-year-old father and his 19-year-old son are expected to appear in the Suva magistrates court today charged with assault.

According to Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita said the two allegedly assaulted a 41-year-old manager on February 19th after a deal went wrong.

The matter was reported to Police last week.

The victim is admitted at the CWM hospital with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old bus driver has been questioned and released after allegedly hitting a 16-year-old student on Friday at about 10am at Rodwell Road.

The student was discharged from CWM Hospital on Saturday and police are expected to take the statement of the student before deciding to lay any charges against the driver.
