A 52 year old has been taken into police custody for allegedly giving false information to police that his seven year old daughter was abducted yesterday.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the father had allegedly said that four men abducted his daughter from their home in Lautoka.
Sokomuri said however, upon investigations it was found that the father had allegedly hid the girl at another home.
He is currently being questioned at the Lautoka police station.
