Father Peter Loy Chong is the new Archbishop of Suva.
This is after the Episcopal ordination service where more than 15,000 people packed the Vodafone Arena this morning.
The Principal consecrating bishop emeritus Petero Mataca and two other bishops conducted the ordination service.
During his sermon Mataca told Archbishop Chong not to forget the less fortunate at the time of his service.
Present today during the ordination include the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, dignitaries and parish members.
