The MHCC Fiji Fashion Week is an artistic outlet for local designers where they will get a taste of the cut-throat business of fashion.

Director Ellen Whippy-Knight said the whole objective of the fashion week is to nurture talent and over the past three years, those that have entered the fashion show have been able to set up their own businesses following the many workshops and exposure the designers have received.

However, she added that a new concept they are adopting this year is to choose the best five entrants out of the 12 they have and to take their designs overseas.
