Farms in Navua completely destroyed
The result of Cyclone Mick has left many corrugated homes completely flattened and as a result of the poor drainage water has seeped into homes, with some still under 2 feet of water.
Fiji Village webmaster Ryan Smith said some roads have been badly damaged with up to 2 to 3 km stretch of road near Viti Crop now riddled with potholes as big as craters.
Smith said people living in Vakabalea, Deuba and Navua are still trying to clean up the debris brought in by flood waters and are now desperately trying to get their lives back to normal.
Villagers in Vabea, Kadavu woke up this morning to the devastation of Cyclone Mick and the realisation that for most they will have to start all over again after all their crops were destroyed.
Ratu Peni Suluaqalo said the strong winds totally wiped out all their plantations and most of their homes were damaged last night.
