Farmers whose cattle have been infected with Brucellosis will have to wait until the testing and research period is completed, before they will receive compensation.

Primary industry spokesperson Jo Uluilakeba said they have been given a budget of $2million which will be used for research and compensation payment, but all this will be decided after the testing period.

Uluilakeba said a timeline of 6 months has been given to carry out the testing of all dairy farms.
