A 35 year old Lakeba farmer is expected to appear in the Labasa Magistrate's court today for allegedly raping a 17 year old girl in August this year.
The alleged incident took place during a funeral gathering.
The farmer was taken into custody on Friday and faces one count of rape charge.
The matter was reported to Police by the girl's relatives after the girl tested positive for being four months pregnant.
