A 22 year old farmer of Lamiti village in Gau was found dead during a diving expedition yesterday morning.
Police say the victim had gone diving with three others at the Nawavuka reef when the alleged incident occurred at 3.30am.
A search was immediately conducted when the others noticed the victim’s's diving slippers surface.
Police also say his body was found stuck on the reef and was rushed to the Levuka Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A port mortem will be conducted as investigations continue.
