A 38-year-old farmer will today appear in the Lautoka Magistrate Court for the alleged murder of Tomuka Shopkeeper Prem Narayan over the weekend.

The farmer was last night charged by Lauotka Police for one count of murder, one count of assault, one count of robbery with violence and one count of resisting arrest.

The man who had been evading police after the incident was arrested by Police following a raid.

It is alleged the man assaulted Narayan to death on Friday night. The Post Mortem report reveals Narayan died of brain hemorrhage.
