Rakiraki Police are now questioning a 23-year-old farmer who is alleged to have raped a 16 year old girl.
Divisional Police Commandar Western, SSP Fesaitu Kava said the alleged incident took place over the weekend when the victim had gone to buy movies.
A search was conducted when the girl failed to return home. She was later found at the suspect’s residence where she claimed that she was raped.
The matter was reported to Rakiraki Police Station yesterday.
