Rugby fans are asking whether play maker Joji Raqamate will be fit for the Wellington Sevens that starts next Friday.

Raqamate suffered a knee injury in the cup semifinal against the NZ Emerging 7s side and was unable to play in the finals.

Digicel Fiji Sevens Assistant Coach Timoci Wainiqolo said that Ragamte will be having an x-ray today and can recover in a few days before Wellington.

Wainiqolo added that the 16 member team will resume training from today.

Meanwhile nine new players have forced their way in the 16 member Digicel Fiji 7's team for the New Zealand and Las Vegas leg of the IRB 7's series after their two day performance at the Uprising Fiji International 7s.

The new nine players are Jone Vota, Mosese Saunivanua, Sasa Veremalua, Peni Ravai, Joshua Tuisova, Sakiusa Gavidi, Manasa Naiyagi, Emosi Mulevoro and Benito Eramasi with Nemani Nagusa making a comeback.

The team marches into camp tomorrow and later in the week the final 12 member team will be named for the New Zealand and Las Vegas tournaments.
